And to Mistress Eleise too for the same thing. But then, if I apologised to her for every occasion on which I have taken her name in vain, I’d be doing a lot of apologising. As I do, but normally I pay for the privilege. I have actually had a few chances to express my deep contrition to her in person (not for this, but for ‘smirking’, which offended her) in Paris and very memorable times they were.
Apologies, while I’m at it, to the talented Nanshakh for using one of his works of genius as the cover for ‘Chariots of the Goddesses’. I generally avoid using artworks as I think they should stand (or crawl or grovel) for themselves and rights rest with the creators. However this particular image has been very widely shared on the Internet after right-wingers in the US (yes – there are a few over there, although they’re very quiet and try to keep their views to themselves) picked it up and captioned it “This is the future that Liberals want“. Which is weird to me, because where I live, our Lib Dem councillors mainly seem more interested in fly-tipping and dangerous riding on e-bikes than creating a female supremacist slave society. But one can but dream.
