This set did get me reflecting quite seriously about my preferences and predilections. In how many of these scenarios would I really truly prefer the second option to the first? Not just as a titillating idea, but as genuine reality. And the honest answer is not all of them, but one or two of them very definitely.
And that does make me – if not “weird” – at least unusual, shall we say, compared with the population as a whole. And that’s fine – I’m fine with that. It took me really a very long time properly to accept that about myself, but it’s definitely healthier for us when we do.
Your presentation of this vanilla v femdom dichotomy was really rather helpful in sort of testing myself. Not so much about what my preferences are, but about whether I truly feel fine about having those preferences … and it’s good to find that I do.

Kind of you, tom, although you’re quite right that I pay to be ignored, which is a little odd, when you think about it as it’s easy enough to get that for free. But if ever I’m feeling unappreciated, I just sit myself down and write a 2000 word punishment imposition on how little I have that’s worth appreciating, then sit with ny hands on my head facing the wall for a few hours, and everything becoems clearer again.
On the more serious point – I agree. There’s a kind of femdom in which vanilla contact is initially denied, then grudgingly permitted as a reward but – like you, perhaps – I’ve never really been into that. I once had a rather unsatisfactory notionally femdom session with two ladies (in Thailand) who kept wanting to know whether I wanted to see their tits, to which there wasn’t really ananswer that was both honest and suitably submissive. Hey-ho.
Vanilla is definitely over-rated as a flavour in my view.
