And she’s got brains enough for two, which is the exact quantity the girl who marries you will need

More Downton Domination: captioned images of high society and lowered trousers, in the 1930s and a little bit beyond.

The title of course is a quote from one of those frightfully amusing tales by dear old Plum.

  1. Yes, I know what I said.

How dare you be so wilfully obtuse and disrespectful.

It is not your place to instruct the housemaids to remove their shoes or anything else.

That rude entitlement has earned you a further six from each of them, in addition to the twenty-four I was about to administer.

Molly, please place another towel beneath the chair.

    No Nonny No

    1. Ah yes, Nonny, men can be so literal about these things. He’ll just have to work it out.

There’s also the little matter of whether he is permitted to take the hems of their skirts between his fingers to raise them gently, first. Or just press his face forward pushing the hem aside, like a dog? Neither is particularly respectful, but I expect she’ll let him know if she has any concerns about the approach he chooses.

      Best wishes

  2. Dear Old Plum

Delighted to see you are fan of PGW. Rather than Downton Domination, perhaps you might supply us with pictures and caption from the S&M equivalent of Blandings Castle? Possibly renamed Brandings? I’m sure you definitely devise a few captions around the theme of “Service With A Smile”!

    I bid you good day,

    PP

    1. What ho PP!

I think if I were to try I might take inspiration more from one or more of his formidable aunts. “In this life it is not aunts that matter, but the courage that one brings to them.” There’s wisdom.

      Pip pip!
